Candle Safety Guidelines

At Lulubell Candle Co., your safety is our priority. Please follow these important guidelines to ensure you enjoy your candles safely.

Before Lighting

• Trim the wick to 5mm before each use to ensure a clean, even burn
• Remove any debris or wick trimmings from the wax pool
• Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts
• Keep candles away from flammable materials, curtains, and bedding

While Burning

• Never leave a burning candle unattended
• Keep candles away from children and pets
• Burn candles in a well-ventilated room
• Don't burn candles for more than 4 hours at a time
• Keep the wax pool free of matches, wick trimmings, or other debris
• Never move a burning candle - wait until it has completely cooled

Extinguishing Your Candle

• Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame
• Don't extinguish with water as this can cause hot wax to splatter
• Ensure the wick is upright and centred after extinguishing
• Allow the candle to cool completely before moving or relighting

General Safety Tips

• Discontinue use when 10mm of wax remains at the bottom
• Keep burning candles at least 10cm apart from each other
• Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
• If the flame becomes too high or flickers repeatedly, extinguish and allow to cool before relighting
